Remember that we want to develop a LoVe-HAte relationship with anchor tags. The reason why we put these letters in this order is because your web browser reads both the HTML document and the CSS stylesheet from top to bottom. And these four pseudo-classes must be read in this order to function properly. Look at the CSS stylesheet to see the order of the four pseudo-classes, and their properties and values. So, this is your big chance! Let's use this link to Google to test our LoVe-HAte relationship.
Notice that the link is blue, until you hover over the link. While hovering, it turns crimson in color. Now, click on the link and hold the mouse button down to make the link active, and you will notice that it turns darkviolet. When you release the mouse button, the link opens in a new tab on your web browser. When you close that tab, and go back to the original web page, that link is now blue again, even though it was visited once. If we had not changed any of the CSS for this anchor tag, it would've behaved like the links found on the web pages of the very first website.
